Who I am

Motorcycling is a huge part of my life. It defines who I am. My closest friends are the guys I ride with, and the few friends I’ve kept since elementary school or early university days have all ridden bikes at some point in their lives.

I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and am eternally grateful for the natural beauty and wide open spaces that define our country.

I have ridden from Toronto to the east coast and back, to Vancouver and back, and through huge swaths of the USA, including once to Sturgis and back on a Japanese bike! I did get some stares…

Therapy for me is getting on a bike and heading out into the country. I was raised a city boy, but with over 6.5 million people in the Greater Toronto Area, the traffic and congestion are unbearable. A two lane country road, flanked by trees changing colour in the fall to rich hues of red, orange and yellow - the anticipation of those rides is what gets me through Canadian winters!

I’ve kept a travel journal for many years, writing about the places I’ve been with my friends, the sights we’ve seen, the hair-raising curves and the hilarious banter of friends sharing something special.

Motorcycle Life is not for the faint of heart. Crashes, injuries, near-misses, heart in your throat moments. But we keep coming back. This is the life we choose.

“No dress rehearsal. This is our life.”
